Property Divas make the headlines

Posted on June 15th, 2015 by admin

Following last month’s successful completion of the “MoonWalk London” challenge, our team have been making headlines once again with their charity efforts. Sara Cane, a long-standing member of the Property Divas team, along with the rest of the ‘Sara N Pipa Kiss Ass 2’ fundraising group, recently took part in Watford’s Race for Life on behalf of Cancer Research UK.

Sara was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013 and has fought the disease with courage and bravery. We are so pleased to have her back with us full-time and since 2012, have taken on events such as the 26.2 mile MoonWalk in her honour, raising £20,501 for breast cancer charities over the past few years.

In 2014, Sara Nathan, a close friend of Sara’s, decided to form a fundraising group, inspired by the women in her life who were battling with breast cancer. The group has gone from strength to strength, raising an incredible £35,000 in its first year, which proves how close this illness is to people’s hearts and how many people it touches.

Last weekend, the 130-strong group took part in their local Race for Life, wearing official Kick Ass t-shirts and beaming smiles.

Sara shared: “It was an amazing day, such a fantastic atmosphere and I am so thankful to my friend Sara – she’s been incredible! It’s wonderful to have her and the rest of the group’s support; it really does mean everything to be surrounded by friends and family while raising money for charity.”

With the donations from Race for Life at £25,000 and still counting, it means that in two years, the group has raised over £60,000 towards finding a cure for cancer. We are very proud of Sara and her friends and the Property Divas team will continue to take part in events to raise funds for their nominated charities.
